Bill Clapp is entering his fifteenth year at Berwick Academy. He is the chairman of the Math Department, and teaches Introductory Statistics, Algebra, and Math Analysis. He is also a student advisor, the coordinator for the Upper School Wilderness Trips, the varsity boys’ lacrosse coach, and the JV boys’ hockey coach.
Mr. Clapp grew up in New Jersey and attended Delbarton School in Morristown, NJ, where he played football and was the captain of the lacrosse and hockey teams. A graduate of Colby College, Mr. Clapp majored in Psychology, and was captain and MVP of the men’s lacrosse team. Before coming to Berwick, Mr. Clapp worked at Providence Country Day School and Kimball Union Academy, where he taught math and ancient history. Mr. Clapp spent his first year at B.A. in the middle school teaching Civics and Pre-Algebra.
Mr. Clapp lives in South Berwick with his wife and children. He has been a volunteer for South Berwick Rescue for eleven years, maintaining National EMT, Wilderness EMT, and CPR instructor’s licenses.
