* This is a general outline of the Lower School schedule.  It is a flexible and fluid schedule designed to accommodate special events and "teachable moments" as they occur throughout the day.

8:00 to 8:05
School's open and "early" students gather in the Lower School Great Room.

8:05 to 8:20
Kindergarten students transition to kindergarten classes.
First-Fourth Grade students play outside at morning recess.

 8:20 to 8:25
First-Fourth Grade students gather in homeroom classes to begin lessons or prepare for Friday morning Division assembly.

8:25 to 11:25
Kindergarten-Fourth Grade morning routine typically includes homeroom classes along with some unified arts classes interspersed.  A snack recess occurs at 10:00 to 10:15 for first and second grades, 10:20 to 10:35 for third and fourth grades and "varies" for kindergarten.

11:25 to 11:50
Lunch for all Lower School students.

11:50 to 12:15
Lunch recess for First-Fourth Grade students (and starting and ending a little later for students in Kindergarten).

12:15 to 3:00
Afternoon classes continue with a combination of unified arts classes and homeroom classes.

3:00
Dismissal for all grades.  (School dismisses at 2:00 on Wednesdays.)
