Middle School After School Programs

Students who stay after school and take the late bus home may choose between a silent and supervised study hall or the After School Program run by the After School Program Director. The After School Program and silent supervised study hall require that families enroll their children in advance.
Charges are applied for each half-hour (or partial half-hour) of supervision in the study hall or the Program. Students who do not take the early bus home will be automatically assumed to be under the supervision of the After School Program Director, with charges applied to the parents' monthly statement. Students may be enrolled for segments of time prior to or following other campus obligations, including music and dance lessons. Students may complete homework during part of the after school hours.  Students who complete their work in the silent supervised study hall may join others in the After School Program, or may choose to reverse this option by socializing first and then moving into the study hall. Students who cannot maintain silence in the study hall will be invited to join the Program group. The After School Program Director will assist students in meeting their parents' expectations for use of time, but ultimately the decision rests with the individual student.
