Dear Journal,
Today my mother is moving back to Beverly, Massachusetts. She gave us the choice to stay or go, and I stayed. The reason for that is, I love working at the mills. Some people call me strange because they believe it’s hard work. I believe them it’s hard work but I love working anyway. I love my life here in Lowell. The best part is I have a lot of friends here.
At 5:00 it’s supper. My group is always late and always gets punished for it by our new mean room keeper. She was the replacement for my mother. Our punishment for being late will probably be to clean the stairs like last night.
Yes, its corn stew! My favorite. Oh, no my hands are completely frozen by the machines. I can’t even eat.
Well, I’m done eating and off to my room. I am very lucky because one of my roommates is my sister. She gets homesick a lot but not while my sister is my roommate.
Goodness, it’s getting late! I'd guess I'd better get to sleep. I'v got another big day tommorow. I hope to practice my cursive tomorrow so it looks like my mother's.
Who am I?
