Yes, I am Harriet Farley. I was born around 1813. I didn’t like being forced to be a teacher so I left home heading for Lowell. In 1842 I became co-editor of the Lowell Offering. I thought editing was the greatest thing in the world. I sometimes wrote for the magazine.
