Today I gave a tour of the mill toCharles Dickens a famous book writer from England. While I was showing him around a girl recognized him and fainted! It was a disaster her machine jammed and the shuttle went flying and hit a girl named Rosa in the head! I immediately sent for a nurse. When I showed him the boarding houses he said that he might send his children here to work. When I showed him out he said do you think slavery is right? I said that I think it is right because plantations supply us with cotton so I can work.

I went to the jewelers after work today and tried t find a ring for my daughter for Hanukkah. Then a strange man came in just as I went out and came running out of the store carrying a bag of money. When I got home I told the children about it. Sam thought that it was very funny and went around calling every body a thief. But I gave him a good spanking!
