Dear Journal,
I have one calico dress that I wear to work. I have an apron and I wear high button shoes. My dress is dirty despite the fact that I wash it every night.
On Sunday, I go to the Second Universalist Church with my sisters. I kept notes on the first meeting of the church’s "improvement circle." Some people say that my notes started the Lowell Offering. I write two articles for that magazine yesterday.
I am afraid that my friend Sarah Bagley will get blacklisted because she is fighting for the 10-hour movement and for better working conditions. I’ve heard that Sarah gave free classes at night for mill workers a few years ago. Earlier this year, Sarah started the Female Labor Reform Association. There are at least five hundred people in the group. Sarah is the president and a young woman named Huldah Stone is her secretary. The 10:00 bell just rang so I have to go to bed.
Who am I?
