Thank you for visiting the Berwick website to learn more about our school, one school, with three distinct groups of students. Our Lower School educates students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 4, the Middle School, grades 5 through 8, and the Upper School, grades 9 through 12.

Berwick takes pride in knowing that our school is more than a campus; it’s a community. Berwick is a place for students of all grades, where talents and passions are developed, and friendships are forged. At Berwick, we seek students who will both contribute to and benefit from this community – students who are eager to explore the world around them and who are committed to the hard work such exploration entails. Located in South Berwick, Maine, the Academy draws students from over 50 communities throughout southern Maine, the seacoast of New Hampshire, and northeastern Massachusetts. Eight bus routes are offered, picking up our students right in their own communities and delivering them safely to the Hilltop each day.
"A school community where it is cool to be smart, cool to try, and cool to do well."
I invite you to discover more about the Berwick Academy experience by contacting the Office of Admission to set up a visit and campus tour or by attending one of our informational events. We look forward to getting to know you and for you to get to know us as a school.

All the Best,
Andrew R. Bishop
Director of Admission & Financial Aid

Serving Maine, The Seacoast of New Hampshire, and the North Shore of Massachusetts

Berwick Academy is Maine's oldest, independent Pre-K through Post Graduate private school. Our community is dynamic, offering challenging academics, competitive athletics, and creative arts programs. Members of the community operate within a context of caring and respect as we pursue our quest for "useful knowledge" as "one school with three divisions." Students and faculty are encouraged to expand their horizons by balancing academics with athletic, dramatic, and musical options.
