Our exceptional student body, successful alumni, and dedicated faculty flourish as a result of your commitment to the Berwick community. It is what allows us to strengthen programs and update technology, as well as maintain valuable faculty. We welcome your support in any way you find comfortable. Your support, in whatever form you elect, means the world.
Berwick Academy, like all independent schools, relies on charitable gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends to fulfill its mission. Charitable gifts have made the difference for students at Berwick since the Chadbourne family created a land grant to establish the Academy in 1791. Today that land grant is:
- A $20.4 million investment portfolio
- An eighty-acre campus valued at $20 million, most of which, in the tradition of the Chadbourne family, was made possible with private contributions.

Today, charitable giving continues to make a vital difference. These monies support the ongoing operations of the Academy, enabling Berwick to work toward maintaining a socio-economically diverse student body by keeping tuition accessible and providing scholarships. Charitable giving also facilitates Berwick's ability to retain talented faculty by providing competitive salaries.
The Berwick Academy education is a purposeful blend of strong academics, arts, and athletics that uniquely prepares students to succeed in the world beyond our hilltop.
The cost of a Berwick Academy education, like many independent schools, is not completely covered by tuition and fees. Charitable gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, parents and grandparents of alumni, and special friends bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student.
Berwick Academy offers a variety of ways to support this value-based education, including gifts of cash, appreciated securities, and planned gifts.
Berwick Academy is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Charitable contributions made to Berwick Academy are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
