Accepted Lower School Students

[see your future in 2020]

Congratulations, and welcome to Berwick Academy and our Lower School - where our youngest students are known, valued, and provided with ample opportunities to be curious and engaged learners.

As a mom of two active and curious children ages 4 and 1.5, I understand why your family is carefully considering your child’s next steps in these early, yet incredibly transformative years of school. Your thoughtful research, questions, and desire for your child’s natural curiosities to be valued and nurtured brought you to Berwick. Whether you’re still thinking about your options or you know you’ll be joining us this fall, we strongly encourage you to strengthen your family’s understanding of Berwick through the following opportunities:

Welcome to the Berwick Community - A Parent to Parent Reception
Thursday, February 13 from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Join a group of current Berwick Lower and Middle School parents at the home of Mary Dempsey (Berwick Parent Community Board Member and parent of Liam and Jack) for food, refreshments, and conversation. Mary and our parents look forward to welcoming you, and to sharing Berwick families’ stories as you consider this important decision and investment in your child’s future. Please RSVP to Jen at jwing@berwickacademy.org or 207.384.6312.

Individual Revisit Days
February 11-March 2 (contact admission to schedule a day that’s best for you and your child).
We welcome your rising first through eighth grade child to return to campus for a partial or full revisit day. Children can connect with peers and teachers again, enjoy a delicious lunch in our Dining Commons, and spend time as a ‘bulldog’ once more! Contact Sonya at squinn@berwickacademy.org or 207.384.6300 to schedule your child’s visit.

Individual Meetings for Parents
February 11-March 2 (contact admission to schedule a day that’s best for you).
Do you have questions remaining about our curriculum or our approach to teaching and learning? Would you like to learn more about bus routes? What does a typical Berwick day look like? Do you want to see campus and classes in session once again? Are you curious about how delicious lunches at Berwick are? Would you like to spend some time with your child’s Division Director? Contact Jen at jwing@berwickacademy.org or 207.384.6312 to arrange a day and time.
