10:20-11:15 a.m. | Science and Music in Half Class Groupings

The Lower School science and music teachers work with the students in half-class groupings (approximately twenty-five minutes of instructional time per subject). Science instruction takes place in the dedicated Lower School science room and music takes place in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom with access to a number of hands-on materials.  Besides science and music, subject-area exploration classes are also taught in the following areas: art, library, physical education and world language. The Explorations classes are thoughtfully planned and coordinated by subject-area specialists to maximize student involvement and interest; the children always look forward to visits from their Explorations teachers.
