Commitment to Wellness, Character Education, and Public Purpose

Curricular enhancements in our Wellness program, with a focus on movement, health and nutrition, and resilience, and the use of our Walsh Wellness Center at Oakes House, allow students to better balance their challenging academics and extracurricular pursuits, and benefit them on a holistic level.

Guided by our mission of "promoting virtue," character education is infused into the culture at Berwick. Whether it be through our Social Emotional Learning program in the Lower and Middle Schools, our required Ethics course in eighth grade, taking advantage of teachable moments, or holding our students to the highest standards, this is equally as important as the academic experience.

Being a member of the community off the Hilltop, whether it be the town of South Berwick, or the greater Seacoast, is important to our school. Our students are involved in community outreach efforts throughout the area, and we work hard at being a good neighbor within our own town. Read more about our community impact
