John joined the faculty at Berwick full time in the Fall of '22 as an English teacher and Writing Center specialist. He has been a staple around campus for the past several years as a substitute teacher in the Upper and Middle School as well as a crew and volleyball coach. Prior to coming to Maine, John was the recruiting coordinator and assistant crew coach at Wesleyan University where he oversaw all interviews, visits, and the admissions process of all incoming recruits for the team. He has been coaching at different collegiate programs since 2012, including Yale & Loyola University Maryland and began teaching in 2013. He loves working with students with a wide variety of interests and passions and exploring all the unique ways there are to learn and understand. When not in the college counseling office or teaching, John can most likely be found on the Salmon Falls River with the Berwick Crew team.
