The evening's presenter, Kristen Power, is the General Manager for School and Student Services (SSS).
 
Prior to joining NAIS in 2008, Power spent eight years as a regional manager and then vice president of business development for a $70 million student loan program that serves the private primary and secondary school market, prepGATE, by First Marblehead Corporation.
 
Due to her background and expertise in the financial aid market, Power travels the country presenting to independent schools, associations and trustees. In addition, she has been quoted in various online publications such as www.smartmoney.com and www.bankrate.com and has authored articles in various publications.
 
Power holds a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. In addition to working with independent schools, Power is a trustee at Oxford Academy in CT. She is also an independent school parent and resides in Exeter, NH with her family.
