What activities are you involved with at Berwick?
I am involved in varsity soccer, varsity basketball, and a member of community outreach at Berwick. Outside of Berwick I play NPL soccer at GPS, tutor, and work at Seaglass in Salisbury.
What is something that makes Berwick unique?
The community at Berwick is what drew me to the school in eighth grade, and it is what has allowed me to grow and thrive in the four years that I have been here. Classes are small and intimate with teachers who go out of their way to get to know and help students. The community here fosters growth, and classmates actively push each other to be better students. Winter Carnival, Woofstock, and Coffeehouses are also great ways for students to get to know each other out of the classroom setting and have fun on the hilltop.
Why are you happy you chose Berwick?
I am happy that I chose Berwick because I have made friendships and memories that will last forever. I have been pushed academically and socially to be the best person that I can be, and I feel that I am well prepared for college and any other challenges I may have.
What is a misconception about Berwick and what is the reality?
A common misconception is that Berwick is too small, and does not have spirit and benefits that larger school has. In reality, Berwick has spirit that rivals, if not exceeds, just about any other school. Sporting events such as Megabowl and Blue and White Weekend are awesome because so many of the students are able to come watch their peers play. Other displays of communal support are seen in plays and recitals, and students are also very passionate about their clubs.
Why do you like being a tour guide?
I love being a tour guide because I get to help others find the same home that I have found in Berwick.
