Support Berwick

Methods of Giving

The Berwick Fund operates on a fiscal year basis, from July 1 to June 30. Pledges are payable anytime before June 30 of the current academic year.

Cash gifts are essential to the School's Annual Fund, endowment, and capital needs. They are fully tax-deductible (for those who itemize) and provide the most convenient form of giving.

Checks may be sent to:
Berwick Academy
The Berwick Fund
31 Academy Street
South Berwick, ME 03908

Credit Cards
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Click here to make a gift online or call Kellie DeMers in the Advancement Office at 207.384.6303.

If you hold securities which would result in a long-term capital gain if sold, you can make an outright gift to Berwick Academy and realize substantial savings on capital gains tax on the appreciation. Thus, the actual cost to you as a donor is often far less than the value of your gift to the School. It is recommended that you consult with your tax advisor to discuss the latest IRS rules and regulations. To transfer stock, please give your broker the following transfer instructions:

Personal Property
A gift of real estate, artwork, or other appreciated property will most likely result in significant capital gains tax savings to the donor. Please call Amy Smucker in the Advancement Office at 207-384-6304 for further information.
