Pre-K-Grade 12 Academic Philosophy

Virtue and useful knowledge

At the heart of the Berwick experience is a dedication to academic excellence. The purpose of the curriculum from grades Pre-K through Grade 12 is to lay a solid foundation that both challenges and excites students about the lifelong process of learning. Our faculty encourages critical thinking, curiosity, and discipline, giving students the tools needed to succeed in the world beyond the Hilltop. By blending a traditional and innovative curriculum, Berwick ensures that each student discovers and explores their personal talents and passions while, at the same time, gaining a critical foundation to life and learning.

Our curriculum challenges students to process information and apply skills as they develop the competencies that will foster growth and encourage academic self-reliance. The close connection between teachers and students supports our goal of understanding the child as a complete learner. Within this well-rounded program, students and adults feel part of a stimulating and meaningful learning environment.

It’s been a wonderful experience for both our kids at Berwick Academy. We love the community. It’s a school with supportive adults and kids who are there because they want to be there.
