Welcome to the Berwick Academy Admission process! We are eager to get to know your family and share the opportunities that exist on the Hilltop as you explore your future educational options. Berwick Academy maintains a balance between innovation, tradition, rigor, and support, as we aim to equip our students with the useful knowledge necessary to be successful in our Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 community and beyond.

If you are interested in learning about our rolling admission process for the Fall of 2021 or are beginning to plan for the years to come, now is the time to connect with us.   • LOWER SCHOOL APPLICATION

    An admission ‘checklist’ can be found within myBerwick. This will help track what needs to be submitted, in addition to the progress of the application. The checklist describes the following requirements:

    Pre-K & Kindergarten Applicants

    • Applicant Profile
    • Tour
    • Parent/Guardian Meeting
    • Individual Observation
    • Teacher Recommendation
    Grade 1-4 Applicants
    • Tour
    • Parent/Guardian Meeting
    • #BABulldog Day Visit
    • Teacher Recommendation
    • Principal/Guidance Counselor Recommendation
    • Student Transcript

  • UPPER SCHOOL APPLICATION

    • English and Math Teacher Recommendations
    • Principal/Guidance Counselor Recommendation
    • Student Transcript
    • Assessments (one of the following):
      • Students Entering Grades 9-11:
        • SSAT (Berwick's SSAT code is 1624)
      • Students Entering Grade 9 Only:
        • Online iReady Assessment (Registered through Berwick)
      • Students Entering Grade 10-PG:
        • PSAT, SAT, or SSAT
  • APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID (if needed)

THE SCHLEYER SCHOLARSHIP

  • Are you a Schleyer Scholar?

    To ensure that more students are able to experience a Berwick education, we offer the Mary Z. Schleyer Scholarship in addition to the $4.6M awarded in Financial Aid. This need-based scholarship provides full tuition to two new students entering ninth grade each year. Applicants must showcase extraordinary academic achievement and distinctive talents in one or more of the following areas: arts, athletics, community service, or leadership. The grant will be renewed through graduation if the student maintains an outstanding academic, social, and extra-curricular record.

Berwick Academy, situated on an 80-acre campus just over one hour north of Boston, serves 600 students, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. Deeply committed to its mission of promoting virtue and useful knowledge, Berwick Academy empowers students to be creative and bold.
