  • LOWER SCHOOL APPLICATION

    Our application can be found here at myBerwick. This includes a checklist that will help track what needs to be submitted, in addition to the progress of the application. The checklist describes the following requirements:

    Pre-K & Kindergarten Applicants (January 30, 2026 Deadline)
    • Applicant Profile
    • Tour
    • Parent/Guardian Meeting
    • On-Campus Applicant Playdate & Assessment (please note that these are specific, set dates that are scheduled through the applicant checklist)
    • Teacher Recommendation (if the child is in a childcare/school setting)
    Grade 1 - 4 Applicants
    • Applicant Profile
    • Tour
    • Parent/Guardian Meeting
    • On-Campus Applicant Playdate & Assessment (please note that these are specific, set dates that are scheduled through the applicant checklist)

    • Online iReady Assessment (registration through Berwick Academy)
    Grade 7 & 8 Applicants
    • Applicant Profile

THE SCHLEYER SCHOLARSHIP

  • Are you a Schleyer Scholar?

    To ensure that more students are able to experience a Berwick education, we offer the Mary Z. Schleyer Scholarship in addition to the $4.6M awarded in Financial Aid. This need-based scholarship provides full tuition to two new students entering ninth grade each year. Applicants must showcase extraordinary academic achievement and distinctive talents in one or more of the following areas: arts, athletics, community service, or leadership. The grant will be renewed through graduation if the student maintains an outstanding academic, social, and extra-curricular record.

Berwick Academy, situated on an 80-acre campus just over one hour north of Boston, serves 520 students, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 and Postgraduates. Berwick students are from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and several countries. Deeply committed to its mission of promoting virtue and useful knowledge, Berwick Academy empowers students to be creative and bold.
