Berwick Academy students participate in community service opportunities in the town of South Berwick in a myriad of ways each year.
South Berwick Toys for Tots Program
Every December for the last 20 years, the Upper School raises money to purchase gifts for local families in need.

Upper School students tutor students at Great Works School during their after school homework help time.

Berwick Estates Visitors, South Berwick, ME

Students in Middle and Upper School visit the elderly residents several times per year.

Ethyl’s Tree of Life, South Berwick, ME

4-5 Students, grades 11-12, work as mentors to young adults with developmental disabilities.

Upper School Service Day

The entire Upper School spends a day each year volunteering at local non-profits and organizations throughout the Seacoast, including several South Berwick schools and organizations.

South Berwick Community Food Pantry Food Drive

The Upper School coordinates an annual food drive at Thanksgiving to benefit the pantry.

Life and Hope Haiti, South Berwick, ME

Berwick Academy sponsors 1-2 Haitian students each year through this local organization

Upper School students assist with cooking and serving meals throughout the winter months.

Berwick Academy, situated on an 80-acre campus just over one hour north of Boston, serves 550 students, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 and Post-Graduates. Berwick students are from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and several countries. Deeply committed to its mission of promoting virtue and useful knowledge, Berwick Academy empowers students to be creative and bold.
