BA Wins Big on B-W Weekend

A second half outpouring of goals made for an eventful afternoon as the BA eleven wrapped up a competitive Saturday with the Beaver Country Day teams. The three o'clock kick off is usually the most coveted one, and the varsity team fully embraced the moment. With just eleven minutes gone, it was Amir Makdad who powered a shot through the goalie's hands. Twenty minutes later, it was Amir again who received a nicely slotted pass from MacGregor Caffelle and placed it into the corner to double the lead. The halftime break only refreshed the team, and so it was Lucas Milne who wasted little time, moving the lead to 3-0 with only a minute gone from the second half clock. It would be Lucas two more times with both Amir and Jack May collecting their second assists on the afternoon. And lastly, Leo Beresin capped off a fine afternoon of midfield play with one of his own, assisted by Dermott McKinnon. Once again, credit to the goalkeeping, back line, and busy midfield play that kept things comfortable, allowing the forwards to get to work at the other end of the field. BA continues their three game home stand with visits from Bancroft on Tuesday and LCA on Friday.
