Free Community Concert Featuring Acclaimed Duo Larry & Joe
Berwick Academy will host a free, all-ages community concert featuring the acclaimed musical duo Larry & Joe on Friday, March 27 at 7 p.m. in the Patricia Baldwin Whipple Arts Center Theater.
The performance is open to the public and invites community members of all ages to experience an evening of music and storytelling that bridges cultures and traditions.
Larry & Joe are known for their dynamic blend of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk music. Larry, a master of traditional Venezuelan styles, rebuilt his life in North Carolina after facing exile. Joe, a GRAMMY-nominated string musician, brings deep roots in Appalachian and Latin American traditions.
Together, the duo combines harp, banjo, cuatro, fiddle, and storytelling in performances celebrated for their virtuosity, emotional depth, and cultural connection. Their music reflects themes of immigration, social justice, resilience, and the shared human experience.
Audience members can expect a lively, welcoming evening filled with music, movement, and community spirit.
