The Bulldogs played at home against Kents Hill and brought their record to 5-0-0 on the season with a 4-0 win and the fourth shutout of the season.
The Bulldogs held their own through the first half, keeping the score 0-0 until the 38th minute. At that time, Griffin Demers ‘28 (Rochester, NH) hit a good corner kick to Sophia DeSimone ‘28 (Dover, NH). DeSimone made a skillful pass to Alexa Garcia ‘26 (Dover, NH) who placed the ball in the bottom left corner of the net, just out of the keeper’s reach.
Seven minutes into the second half of the game, Carly Shumway ‘29 (Wells, ME) scored her first career goal when she dribbled the ball into the box, hammered it at the goal, and then hammered it again off the rebound, placing it into the top corner of the net.
At the 71st minute mark, Annabelle Arp ‘28 (Greenland, NH) made an assist with a strong pass to Rylee White ‘29 (Fremont, NH) who dribbled the ball up the ride side of the field and rifled it to the back of the net, scoring her first career goal as well.
Finally, with six minutes on the clock, Garcia scored a great fourth goal off an assist from Phoebe Yaris ‘29 (Raymond, NH).
The Bulldogs travel to Boston next to keep the momentum going and take on The Winsor Wildcats. Go Bulldogs!
