BA Wins at Winchendon

The traveling Bulldogs battled the downpours on their roadie to central Mass to take on a relative unknown opponent for them in Winchendon. The guests were treated to wonderful facilities, and just as the weather began to calm, Berwick began to pick up their play. Corner-kicks, one after the next, helped keep pressure on the very talented Winchendon goal keeper, while active defensive play allowed Berwick to hold possession in the offensive end for long spells. Lucas Milne scored late in the half off of a nifty cross, giving his team some rewards for a well played first forty minutes. The second half saw much of the same, but it was Milne again, followed by Amir Makdad (possible own goal but he did just enough), and capped off by a beauty by Dermott McKinnon who banged home another cross from winger Nii Lokko and earning his first varsity goal. Saturday sees Berwick returning to the Turf for a Blue and White Weekend 3 PM kickoff with Beaver Country Day.
