Solid trip up North

 The Bulldogs traveled north for their annual season opener with the Lumberjacks. On a beautiful though blustery early September Monday afternoon, both teams struggled to get a grip with the conditions, but it was the visitors who eventually managed to gain control for increasingly extended periods of time. While the quality chances may have been limited to just a few in the first half, Berwick was able to find the net on two occasions – Ollie with a cheeky Cruyff and JackO with a Hebron OG that he will be happy to claim, having played great all afternoon, chipping in with 3 assists. The second half witnessed continued possession but with a much more measured attack, scoring 6 times from 5 different scorers – Amir, Rogan (2), Spinney, Mayday, and Small. All in all, a satisfying trip to the northern woods, and a good start to a busy week for the boys. Wednesday will see them playing host to longtime rival Pingree for their EIL opener.
