Nature-Based Education

Utilizing our expansive 80-acre campus.
Our faculty believe that connecting students to the natural world through authentic outdoor learning experiences promotes positive social and cognitive growth and nurtures productive environmental stewardship. Both homeroom and exploration classes regularly venture outside for outdoor classroom investigations. Examples include nature journaling during writing class; snowshoeing through our expansive snow-covered forest trails during physical education class; and studying campus plants during our science and art classes.
