Middle School Parent
[My son] entered the middle school this past school year... looking back we could not be more thankful. He was unhappy in the public school and felt the pressure of keeping up with the trends. He entered the middle school last year with so much support and guidance. He ended the year very successful with an amazing group of friends. He mentioned to us half way through the year, "I can be myself here without any pressure". …[The] help, support, and guidance he received throughout all of his classes not only gave him the confidence to be successful, but the support to guide him along the way. He felt comfortable going to his teachers for help and realized very quickly they truly cared for his happiness and success. My son is also an athlete. He loved playing a sport all three seasons and the friendships he made during those seasons only contributed to his overall happiness. Berwick Academy is truly an amazing school.

Middle School Student
I like that Berwick has a no cell phone policy. It helps me stay focused, and it also means that my friends and I talk and hang out in person during the school day, and not behind screens.

The adults in the Middle School truly provide the kind of support that students need socially in addition to academically. Teachers are guiding students in working out how to be a friend, how to choose friends, how to advocate for yourself. I love that Berwick provides the foundation and support for teachers to do that.
