Berwick continued their home stand on Tuesday afternoon playing host to The Bancroft School from Worcester, MA. While BA managed a good deal of possession, shots, and corner kicks, it wasn't until minute 32 that Amir Makdad broke free on a pass from fellow front man, Lucas Milne, and put one past the goalie. On the stroke of half time, Dermott McKinnon rose above the rest at the back post to head a bullet from a neatly placed free kick by MacGregor Caffelle, doubling the lead at the break. The second half became a little sloppy with many fouls being called, but when BA settled down and got back to work, it was Amir again who controlled a nicely slotted pass from midfielder Jack May, and added to the lead. With only seconds remaining in the game, Berwick engaged in a classic counter attack with Liam Connolly receiving a headed clearance from MacGregor, dribbling hard across midfield before finding Dermott in stride. Rounding the keeper, he applied just the right touch to tuck home his second and his team's fourth on the afternoon. Friday will see BA move from the Turf and over to the adjacent grass field when they host LCA at 4:15.
