In an evenly contested match that saw shot totals and fouls for both teams to be strikingly identical, it was the visitors from Berwick who came away with the 1-0 victory. With a shortened bench, and despite losing two players to injury, BA held together and saw things through on this rainy Friday evening. Even when the game seemed to reach its boiling point, the Bulldogs kept their heads cool, waited for their opportunities and pounced. And so it was Amir who collected a beautifully slotted pass from Ollie and confidently shifted the ball to his good foot before bending a shot into the net from beyond the 18-yard-box. At 1-0, Tilton still looked dangerous, but a red card took just enough wind from their sails to allow Berwick to return home with a well earned 3 points. The back line, once again looked nearly impenetrable, the midfield active, and Jak in goal made some key saves, none better than a hyper-reactive one from close range late on in the match. BA will take the weekend to ice some bumps and bruises, while looking forward to getting back into league play with a trip down to South Hamilton to take on Pingree.
