Berwick Academy Concludes Historic $15 Million Campaign

Berwick Academy has officially concluded The Campaign for Berwick, securing over $15 million in gifts and pledges to mark the largest and most successful fundraising initiative in the school’s 235-year history. Surpassing its original financial target, the multi-year effort was driven by widespread support from alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends.
The campaign focused on three strategic priorities designed to fuel long-term innovation, campus growth, and leadership:
  • Growing the Endowment: More than $7 million was directed to the endowment, raising the school’s total endowment to over $35 million. These funds provide lasting support for areas such as financial aid and scholarships, theater programs, and professional development and advanced studies for faculty and staff.
  • Enhancing Campus Facilities: Capital efforts were highlighted by the September 2023 opening of the Lower and Middle School Outdoor Exploration Space. This nature-inspired area provides dedicated space for experiential learning, teamwork, self-directed play, and environmental connection.
  • Strengthening The Berwick Fund: The campaign generated over $5 million for annual operations, bolstering immediate needs across academics, the arts, athletics, innovation, faculty support, and ongoing campus maintenance.
By securing vital operational funds, modernizing learning environments, and significantly growing endowment reserves, the campaign ensures Berwick Academy remains well-positioned to support future generations of students.
