Bulldogs do everything but score

Despite outshooting NYA 39-20, Berwick only put two behind the opposing goaltender

YARMOUTH, ME -The final game before winter break proved to be a frustrating one for the Bulldogs. Despite holding an 18-7 shots advantage after one period, the Bulldogs found themselves down 1-0.

NYA scored a minute into the second, then twice more in the middle of the period to take a 4-0 lead. Richie Rosato (Concord, NH) took passes from Tyler Gaulin (Kingston, NH) and Zander Lizotte (Scarborough, ME) down the right wing, cut hard around the NYA defenseman, and buried one forheand to make it 4-1.

Jack Williams (Biddeford, ME) scored a minute into the third on the powerplay to give the Bulldogs even more life, but it was just NYA's night. Sophomore goalie Xander Kostelnik was up to the challenge. Berwick looks to flip the script when the Panthers travel south on January 20th.
