Liam Collins scored his first two goals of his varsity career as Berwick steered away the visiting Bancroft School from Worcester, MA 19-3. With Jake Smith (3 saves) enjoying a rather quiet afternoon in goal, Byron Welch provided plenty of action in the other end, leading all scorers with 7 points on the day. The attack group of Derek Muse, Jack Merecki, and Reed Santos counted for 8 goals, while midfielders Tanner Derby and Ryan Gaulin each added one. Our pair of defensive midfielders, Pierce Wood and Curtis Wirbal, also chipped in with one a piece. Full credit to the Bancroft team that competed right to the end, and especially their goalie who made nearly a dozen saves. With one day's rest, Berwick will travel down to North Andover, MA to take on the very talented the Brooks School Friday.
