GVFH beats Dana Hall

Coach O
Berwick was down by one after the half, but came back to beat Dana 2-1.  Sydney Foster had the first goal with an assist from Paige McCraven. Lillie Rennie had the second goal with an assist from Ciara Ryan.
The Berwick Varsity Field Hockey (2-2-1) beat EIL rival Dana Hall today playing at Dana Hall in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  Despite dominating possession, the Bulldogs let in a Dana Hall penalty corner goal just as the first half expired.  Berwick regrouped at half time, determined to come back and win the game.  Ten minutes in, Berwick earned an offensive penalty corner and midfielder Andrea Caradonna (Lynnfield, MA) sent a rocket shot toward the back post that forward Paige McCraven (Newburport) corralled before passing to Sydney Foster (Danvers, MA) who tipped the ball in for the tying goal.  The Bulldogs then scored the go ahead goal a few minutes later with forward Ciara Logan (Brentwood, NH) providing the assist on a goal by midfielder Lilly Rennie (North Hampton, NH).  The Bulldogs played smart defense for the last four minutes of the game, sealing Berwick's first victory against Dana Hall in four years.  Captain midfielder Emma O'Shaughnessy (Kittery, ME) had a stand out game taking free hits and center midfielder Andrea Caradonna also excelled in anchoring the mid field.  Berwick next faces Beaver Country Day at home on Wednesday.
