Berwick opened their week of play with a nice trip down to South Hamilton, MA to take on The Pingree School. It was a back-and-forth affair for much of the first half, and the visitors were forced to defend many free kicks, which were complicated by an afternoon of gusty winds. Surviving these attacks, BA found their footing and with under ten minutes in the half, they scored twice - one from Jack O (asst. to Jack M) and a second to Amir who volleyed home a long throw in from Spinney. The second half witnessed some excellent wing play, which kept things exciting, though Pingee's goalie managed to collect most of what was delivered into the penalty area. Mac, however, got onto the end of a free kick and headed home a goal to make it 3-0, and Spinney nudged home a nicely slotted cross to make it 4. Overall, a good win under tight conditions. Berwick turns their attention to a difficult visit out to Wolfeboro, NH for a game with a talented Brewster side on Saturday.
