MS Boys White plays tough but falls in opener

After just two practices as a team, the MS Boys White basketball team jumped into their season with a home game against Sacred Heart.  The Bulldogs got off to a quick start, jumping out to a 10-0 lead behind the quickness and ball handling skills of Sam "Suds" Sudderth and Nakul Wheeler.  Sacred Heart battled back in the second quarter to pull within 3 at the half 15-12.  The teams played nip and tuck in the third quarter, but Sacred Heart's full court press and size on the glass posed real challenges for BA. Sudderth and Wheeler led the Bulldogs in scoring with 9 and 6 respectively.  Arlo Winokur, Bailey Beakes, and Sam Hanson all pitched in with 2 points a piece.  Nate Nigrin and Sam "Gus" Gustafson battled hard in the paint, leading the team in rebounding.
