Berwick Outlast Hyde

The Berwick Academy boys' lacrosse team had a thrilling fourth quarter victory over a physical and talented Hyde team.  Joey Lazzaro scored his second of the game and the eventual winner with just 1:31 left in the fourth quarter.  Derek Muse also added two goals and two assists while Marshal White scored his first of the season.  The bulldogs took a first quarter lead after goals by Byron Welch and Drew Hale, but Hyde were able to tie it at three before the half.  The second half highlighted a fast-paced game up and down the field and Berwick were able to come away with the win.  Luke McNamara did a fine job at the faceoff X, including the last faceoff of the game in which he helped seal the vicory by winning the draw and recovering the ball. Peter Shaw had 10 saves in goal.  Berwick play at Tilton Friday.
