Nature-Based Education

Our expansive 80-acre campus allows our teachers to infuse the natural world into our students' everyday learning experience.
Our faculty believe that connecting students to the natural world through authentic outdoor learning experiences promotes positive social and cognitive growth and nurtures productive environmental stewardship. Both homeroom and exploration classes regularly venture outside for investigating and learning. Examples include nature journaling during writing class; snowshoeing through our expansive snow-covered trails during physical education class; and studying campus plants during our science and art classes.
