The Battle of the Bulldogs

Berwick opened the month of October with a spirited, competitive win over The Holderness School. In this battle of the Bulldogs, this game offered plenty of bite. And after enjoying a leaf peeping bus ride into the Whites, BA quickly settled into the match, moving the ball well and creating a number of quality scoring chances. Unable to capitalize early on, though, it was Rogan who finally broke through in minute 15 to give Berwick the only goal they would need on the night. The visiting Bulldogs were forced to withstand a good number of free kicks, but Alex, Mac, Jack M., and Liam headed nearly each one of those away. Goal keeper Jak Loughlin once again kept things organized and managed to collect anything the back line was unable to. So, heading into the weekend, the boys should be pleased with a hard earned three points. Berwick will continue to a series of road trips next weeks with visits to Bancroft on Wednesday and Lexington on Friday.
