Middle School Global Ex Program

Global Ex is a yearlong immersive, interdisciplinary, student-driven exploration that combines science and social studies. Students incorporate collaboration, research, problem solving, scientific investigation, coding, digital design and fabrication, data collection/analysis, reflection, communication, and sharing.

The primary focus of the project requires students to research a country and analyze its geography, economy, environmental concerns, and social issues. Students exhibit their investigative research to the public at the culmination of the project in the spring. They use digital tools and technology to design a map, a poster, and an interactive piece of functional art to display their understanding about their chosen country and to educate others.
