Millbrook sends Berwick packing

Bulldogs cash in four times but Millbrook too much with six of their own

NORTH ANDOVER, MA –After a loss and a tie to open the tournament, Berwick needed a win tonight to have any chance of advancing to the finals tomorrow. Despite a stronger offensive effort, the Bulldogs came up short by a final score of 6-4. Tucker Smith (South Berwick, ME) scored his first of the season on a beautiful individual effort. Greg Stohrer (Barrington, NH) scored twice for the Bulldogs on tape-to-tape setups from Tyler Gaulin (Kingston, NH) and Jack Merecki (Stratham, NH). Gaulin scored one of his own on assists from Merecki and Tanner Derby (Newburyport, MA). Millbrook’s attack featured some of the best offensive players Berwick has seen yet this year. In the end, they finished on some prime scoring opportunities. After standing on his head early on this season, Rafe Gaughan (Somersworth, NH) came back to earth in this one. With just one game left before heading into the holiday break, the Bulldogs could really use two points tomorrow.
