Pingree opportunistic in sloppy Berwick performance

Inconsistency and lack of discipline crush the Bulldogs

HAMILTON, MA -Despite holding a 41 to 30 shots advantage on the night, the Bulldogs lacked team structure and turned the puck over countless times, leading to nine odd-man rushes for the Pingree vs Berwick's two. Pingree cashed in on a number of these opportunities, especially in the third period. The game was 3-0 Pingree early on, with Berwick battling back to 3-2 with a minute remaining in the second. Careless defensive zone play lead to a Pingree goal with five seconds remaining in the period. Trailing 4-2 entering the third, Berwick never sustained any sort of attack, losing the third period by a 4-1 margin. Berwick's response to this lackluster effort will pave the way for the rest of the season. The Bulldogs are on the road again on Friday against Middlesex.
