Performing Arts

Music and theater opportunities
In the Middle School all students are performing artists in one of our six ensembles. Fifth and sixth grade students participate in African Music, Band, Chorus, Guitar, and Strings. Students in grades seventh and eighth grade have the additional option to participate in Theater Arts. Music classes culminate in a winter and spring concert each year.

Additionally, the Middle School Musical is an activity that takes place outside of the school day. Recent performances include: Annie, Once on This Island, Charlie Brown, The Wizard of Oz, Pirates of Penzance, and High School Musical Jr. All students are encouraged to take part in this experience, either on stage or backstage, working on wardrobe, tech, publicity, set design, and scenery.
