Kents Hill drops Berwick 6-3

Inconsistency and lack of discipline once again crush the Bulldogs

KENTS HILL, ME –It is never an easy road trip up to Kents Hill, and this one proved no different. Berwick spotted Kents Hill a 3-0 lead after one and it was 4-0 halfway through the game. The Bulldogs finally came to life when Tyler Gaulin (Kingston, NH) came in on a 2-on-1 and made a nifty backdoor pass to Tucker Smith (South Berwick, ME) for the finish. Ninety seconds later, Ryan Gaulin streaked in on the powerplay and found Tanner Derby (Newburyport, MA) in the high slot before Derby buried one bar-down. Six minutes into the third, Berwick went up on a two-man advantage and Ryan Gaulin beat the goalie five-hole. Assists went to Greg Stohrer (Barrington, NH) and Jackson Sidford (Newburyport, MA) on the play. Just as the Bulldogs found their stride, one fateful turnover at the redline while Berwick players were changing led to an odd-man rush for Kents Hill and their fifth goal. An empty netter sealed this one. The Bulldogs will need a much more disciplined approach when they take on Exeter (#6 in New England) on Friday.
