Bulldogs play EIL semi-final game at Pingree

Sarah Anderson
The Bulldogs traveled to Pingree School on Friday as the fourth seed in the EIL tournament; the bulldogs played a strong defensive game but Pingree still won 2-0.
The Highlanders secured their first goal four minutes into the game.
Goalkeeper Allie Moore ‘24 (North Berwick, ME) played a very strong first half in the net before playing on the field. While in net, Moore made a few beautiful diving saves in the fifth and eighth minutes, punching the ball out both times. With 22 minutes on the clock in the first half, Moore made an impressive save when she caught Pingree’s corner kick. In the very last minute of the half, Pingree took a strong shot and it ricocheted first off the post and then off Moore’s head.
The entire Bulldog team worked in a steady, consistent and calm fashion as they kept the Pingree team frustrated and unable to penetrate the BA defense in many instances.
Goalkeeper Alexa Garcia ‘26 (Dover, NH) made a great diving save with 19 min on the clock. Five minutes later, Pingree scored their second goal.
The Bulldogs are now 12-4-4 on the season.
The Bulldogs, having only lost to class B opponents, should qualify for the NEPSAC Class C Tournament and will find out late Sat evening. Go Bulldogs!
