Berwick Falls in the Finals

200 minutes of soccer in less than twenty four hours proved just too much for Berwick as they fell to a talented Pingree side in the EIL Finals this afternoon. With Toby Zhang once again finding the back of the net to give the visitors the edge with just 15 minutes to play, the tired legs couldn't withstand the host's pressure, who made good on one of their several dangerous corner kicks late in the game. Much like the day before, Berwick was faced with a pair of overtime periods, which did little to settle the closely contested, spirited match. This sent the game into penalty kicks, and, sadly, BA was unable to muster the nerve and precision that led them to victory the day before. That said, the Bulldog's left their print, falling to a quality Pingree team, and giving the fans much to root for. Berwick now awaits a decision from the NEPSAC committee to see if they've done enough to qualify for this year's tournament. Good luck to the boys.
