Berwick Teaching Apprentice Program

Are you or someone you know interested in teaching? Berwick has a partnership with Lesley University that enables prospective teachers to earn an M.Ed. from Lesley while gaining a full year of teaching experience at Berwick as a Teaching Apprentice. A handful of Berwick alumni have returned to campus to launch their careers as educators, including Sarah Fincke '05, Cassie Warnick '06, Meghan Colitti '07, and Jessica Harley '15.

The Teacher Apprentice Program provided the opportunity to put all of that theory into practice in authentic and meaningful ways in the classroom with consistent guidance and feedback from highly skilled and effective mentor teachers. After having gone through the program, I felt confident in my competence as a new teacher and comfortable asking for support and feedback from my peers and mentors, ultimately allowing me to build a reflective teaching practice. - Cassie Warnick '06, Teaching Apprentice Program 2011
